Tout sauf inodore, incolore et insipide, l’eau du Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean représente bien plus qu’une ressource naturelle. À la source de toute l’histoire de notre région comme de la vie sur Terre, elle est encore au cœur de notre identité individuelle et collective. Pour marquer son importance sur notre territoire, il a été demandé à des artistes d’ici de former un triptyque vidéo qui, à travers leur regard personnel et poétique, déploierait un portrait de l’eau en trois axes : le lac Saint-Jean (Fillion), ses rives (Fortin) ainsi que ses affluents et bassins versants (Létourneau et Thibert en duo).

Ce projet a reçu un appui financier du Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec et de la MRC de Lac-Saint-Jean-Est dans le cadre du Programme de partenariat territorial du Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean, et a été réalisé en collaboration avec la Bande Sonimage.

Anything but odourless, colourless and flavourless, the water of the Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean represents much more than a natural resource. The source of our region’s entire history—and indeed, life on earth—it is central to our individual and collective identity. To underscore its importance in our territory, local artists were asked to create a video triptych from a personal and pœtic perspective, to present a portrait of water along three lines: Lac Saint-Jean (Fillion), its shores (Fortin) as well as its tributaries and watersheds (the duo of Létourneau and Thibert).
